I am running my second 5k on Saturday. It is a Halloween themed
run. To aid in our comfort while running I think we are going to
dress up as 80's aerobics instructors. What do you think?

Surrender Dorothy

I am spending my Friday night editing shop photos while watching one of my all time favorite movies, The Wizard of Oz. Judy Garland was just a doll! She was born right here in Minnesota! Did you know that she had very deep self esteem issues? Sadly film executives told her she was unattractive. She started taking prescription drugs to control her weight and up her productivity in hopes that she would look more attractive. It ultimately led to her death in 1969 due to a drug overdose. Such a tragic story. I think she was a true beauty. Don't you?

Funky Fresh Fabulous Friday

No school today! Yay! Nothing but Etsy, blogging, facebooking, working out, eating junk, then maybe working out again to burn off that junk, and relaxing. Sounds great to me! 

Paranormal Activity 2 was just as good as the first one. I screamed and jumped out of my seat more times than I'd like to admit. Go see it at the IMAX if you can. Btw, I did sleep, but not very well.

I may never sleep again

Caleb and I are super stoked because tonight at ten o'clock we will be watching Paranormal Activity 2 at the IMAX! Eeeeeek! I will give my review tomorrow, but I have already seen reviews online giving it an A+. I LOVE scary movies and I do believe the first Paranormal Activity was THE scariest I have seen. Oh, and if you buy your ticket online you receive a free download of  the first Paranormal Activity on itunes! Because I am in that kind of mood here are some spooky images for your viewing pleasure...

Chain stitch, split stitch...huh?

I have been wanting to learn how to embroider for a few months now, but haven't really done a lot about it. Well, today I decided with the restart of my blogging I am also going to start towards my goal of learning to embroider. If you don't know how to either, why not start with me?  C'mon, it'll be fun! There are tons of helpful resources online. My favorite is Sublime Stitching. They have super fun patterns, a how-to section, and awesome starter kits...

If you don't want to purchase a kit you can run down to your local craft store and pick up these items:

embroidery hoop

embroidery floss

embroidery needle

something to stitch on (tea towel)

small sharp scissors

pattern

*you may also want to pick up a transfer pen or pencil so you can iron on any pattern you choose.

How sweet is she?

I won't be picking up my supplies until tomorrow because I'm a busy bee today trying to update my shop with all of the seriously amazing treasures I have found over the past few days. I was a true picker yesterday digging through mounds of stuff in a big old barn for hours on end. I was in heaven :-).I'll post pics of the treasures later. Have a fantastic afternoon!

My head is pounding from last nights festivities...ugh...it was fun anyways. Happy Birthday to the beautiful Ari!

I've had these songs from The xx on repeat. I love the entire album, even the intro is great, but I think Islands is my favorite.

I'm longing for dresses and sunshine...

I want to live somewhere that

allows me to wear dresses every single day. I have plans to wear as many dresses as I can this

summer but this dreadful rain has made it impossible. C'mon already! Give us some sunshine!

If I did live in this unnamed place where the sun shines everyday I would own these modcloth pretties...
